At High Castle Metals, we understand that circumstances may change. However, please be aware that all cancellations are subject to our Market Loss Policy, in addition to a cancellation fee of the greater of $50 or 5% of the total order value.

If the market price of the metal has decreased since you placed your order, that market loss will be calculated and added to the cancellation fee. If a cancellation fee and/or market loss apply, the total amount due will be charged to your credit card on file, as outlined in our User Agreement. Please note that no future orders will be permitted until any outstanding market loss fees are paid in full.

Forms of Precious Metals

Precious metals are generally traded in three distinct forms: bars, coins, and rounds. Understanding the differences can help you determine the best option for your portfolio.

Bars

Produced primarily by private mints, bars are an efficient way to accumulate precious metals with a lower premium over the spot price. They are easy to store and come in a wide range of sizes, commonly from 1 oz to 100 oz, though smaller and larger options are available.

Coins

Struck by sovereign government mints, coins carry a legal tender face value. While they generally have higher premiums than bars, they offer a significant collectibility factor and increased liquidity. Common weights range from 1/20 oz to 1 oz, with some larger options up to 1 kilogram.

Rounds

Rounds resemble coins in appearance but carry no face value and are typically produced by private mints. They are a cost-effective way to buy metal similar to bars, but in a familiar coin-like format. Common weights range from 1/2 oz to 5 oz.

Payment

We offer several convenient payment options to ensure a smooth checkout experience. Please review the following limits and methods:

Credit/Debit Cards: Accepted for orders up to a maximum of $1,000.
ACH Transfer: Accepted for check-based electronic transfers.
